Estimates only — indicative rates. Read the full disclaimer below.

How it works

  1. Converted amount = amount × rate, where the rate is the number of units of the To currency equal to one unit of the From currency.
  2. Cross rates are derived through PKR: the rate from one currency to another is the PKR value of the first currency divided by the PKR value of the second. One route is used for every pair — direct and cross rates are never mixed for the same pair.
  3. The inverse rate is 1 divided by the rate used. Converting back at the inverse rate returns the original amount within display rounding.
  4. Only the latest rate is used. There is no historical lookup, and no rate can be typed in by hand.

Worked example

Example in words only — not your result, and no rate figure is stated here. Converting an amount in US dollars to Pakistani rupees multiplies the amount by the current rate for one US dollar in rupees. Converting the resulting rupees back to US dollars uses the inverse rate, and returns the starting amount within display rounding.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert PKR to USD (or any listed pair)?

Enter the amount, choose the From and To currencies, and the converter shows the converted amount with the rate used. Use Swap to reverse the direction without retyping the amount.

Is this the bank rate or the market rate?

Neither. The rate shown is indicative only — it is not a buy or sell rate. Banks, exchangers, and payment services may offer different rates, and fees or charges are not included.

When was this rate last updated, and what does "stale rate" mean?

Every result shows the rate source and the last-updated time in Asia/Karachi, with a Current or Stale label. A stale rate is the last cached rate shown after its provider update time has passed; it is labelled stale with its timestamp and may no longer reflect the market.

What happens if no rate is available?

No conversion is shown and no rate is guessed. The page shows a clear unavailable message with a Retry button, and your amount and currency choices stay in the form. Converting a currency into itself still works, because no rate is needed.

Which currencies are supported?

PKR, USD, GBP, EUR, SAR, AED, AUD and CAD. Only currencies the rate source can price are listed; if a rate is missing for a listed currency, that pair is shown as unavailable rather than converted at another pair’s rate.

Important — please read

The rate shown is indicative only. It is not a buy/sell rate. Banks, exchangers, and payment services may offer different rates, and fees or charges are not included in the converted amount. Rates change frequently — always check the rate and total cost with your bank or exchanger before acting. Results are estimates for information only, not financial advice.

  • The rate’s source and “as of” time are shown on the result and must be checked before relying on it.
  • A stale rate is labelled as stale and may no longer reflect the market.
  • This tool does not buy or sell currency and does not include any charge.
